AIPLA 2025 Annual Meeting
The 2025 AIPLA Annual Meeting will take place from October 30 to November 1 in Washington, DC, bringing together practitioners, policymakers, and innovators for three days of policy discussion, legal updates, and professional development at the center of the intellectual property community. Returning to the nation’s capital, the meeting offers a forum to address both longstanding challenges and emerging issues shaping the global IP landscape.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics through plenary sessions, panels, and workshops. Key areas of focus include global patent office trends, the growing role of artificial intelligence in innovation and IP protection, recent developments in trademark reform, the evolving landscape of litigation funding, and updates in copyright law. In addition, sessions will address practical approaches to closing the patent gap and ensuring broader participation in the innovation economy.
Beyond the educational programming, the meeting includes several opportunities for networking and community engagement. Highlights include the Opening Night Reception, the Diversity Reception, and the Women in IP Committee Breakfast, all of which provide settings for attendees to connect with colleagues, share perspectives, and strengthen professional networks. Hands-on Skills Workshops will also give practitioners the chance to refine practical abilities and apply new techniques in real-world scenarios.
By combining substantive learning, policy dialogue, and professional connection, the 2025 AIPLA Annual Meeting offers a comprehensive experience for those engaged in the development, protection, and practice of intellectual property law in the United States and internationally.
