AIPLA 2026 Spring Meeting

The 2026 AIPLA Spring Meeting, taking place May 13–15, 2026 at the Fairmont San Francisco, is a 2.5-day conference dedicated to exploring the most current and emerging issues in intellectual property law. Hosted in one of San Francisco’s most iconic venues, the Spring Meeting brings together IP practitioners, corporate counsel, academics, and industry leaders for a dynamic mix of educational programming, committee engagement, and professional networking.

The conference will feature sessions focused on trending topics across patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, enforcement, technology, innovation policy, and cross-disciplinary developments. With a diverse agenda designed for practitioners of all experience levels, attendees can expect forward-looking discussions, practical insights, and opportunities to hear from top experts and thought leaders shaping the future of IP.

The Meeting also includes a robust schedule of leadership activities, committee gatherings, and community events. Preceding the main conference, AIPLA will host a special 1.5-day Advanced Biotech/Chem Practice Summit on May 11–12, offering deeper focus on issues unique to biotech and chemical patent practice.

Networking is a central component of the Spring Meeting, with receptions, breaks, and leadership sessions that bring together professionals from firms, corporations, government agencies, and academic institutions. These touchpoints create an environment ideal for exchanging ideas, strengthening professional relationships, and engaging with the broader IP community.
