2026 ABA-IPL Section Annual Meeting

The 2026 ABA Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting (IPLSPRING) will take place April 15–16, 2026, in Washington, DC, bringing together hundreds of IP professionals for three days of education, networking, and industry collaboration. This flagship spring event draws approximately 550 total attendees, including 45+ in-house practitioners and participants from 150+ firms across the United States and abroad. In recent years, the meeting has also welcomed attendees from Asia, Australia, Europe, Mexico, Central America, and South America, making it a truly international IP gathering.

IPLSPRING 2026 will feature 20 CLE sessions and 100+ speakers, offering a robust educational program for attorneys, corporate counsel, academics, policymakers, and IP specialists. Nearly 75 government, academic, and public service registrants are expected, with representation from major U.S. agencies such as the USPTO, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Department of Commerce, Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and the U.S. Copyright Office.

Networking is a core part of the experience, with multiple opportunities built into the schedule. Attendees can participate in three receptions, including two welcome receptions and a Thursday conference reception.
