CPI Brings Secure, Native AI to Modern IP Management

Ask Jerry, Idea Foundry, and the AI Invoice Approval Module help IP teams access insights, strengthen invention capture, and streamline financial workflows.

Gaithersburg, MD, [Date] — Computer Packages Inc. (CPI), a leading provider of intellectual property management systems and services, today announced their suite of AI-powered capabilities built directly into CPI’s IP management platform. Ask Jerry, Idea Foundry, and the AI Invoice Approval Module help organizations access portfolio intelligence faster, improve invention capture, and simplify invoice review and approval.

Developed in-house and embedded within CPI’s environment, these capabilities allow clients to introduce AI into established processes without relying on disconnected tools.

“IP teams want AI that makes their work easier without changing the way they operate,” said Kelly McManus, Director of Client Relations at CPI. “Ask Jerry helps users quickly find the portfolio information they need, Idea Foundry enhances and streamlines invention disclosure intake and review, and the AI Invoice Approval Module reduces the manual effort involved in invoice processing. These tools apply AI where it can have an immediate impact: reducing administrative burden, improving consistency, and helping IP teams act faster.”

Ask Jerry, CPI’s AI assistant, provides real-time insights directly within the IP management system. Through natural-language queries, users can analyze portfolio data, identify trends, generate reports, and navigate information across CPI modules—making complex data easier to access and use.

Idea Foundry is CPI’s AI-guided invention capture and review capability, designed to streamline the path from idea to filing. Integrated into CPI’s Disclosure Management System, it helps inventors create more structured disclosures while giving reviewers richer context earlier in the evaluation process—improving both quality and consistency without disrupting established workflows.

CPI’s AI Invoice Approval Module helps teams process invoices faster, reduce manual effort, and improve billing accuracy. It automatically matches invoices to the correct case, captures key details, and populates the appropriate fields, while configurable workflows streamline notifications, reviews, and approvals for greater visibility and control.

These new tools expand CPI’s existing AI portfolio, which includes AI Automatic Docketing to identify correspondence and create accurate docket actions, AI for IDS Management to capture citation data and simplify IDS workflows, and AI-Powered Task Management to create validated tasks and coordinate work across internal teams and outside counsel.

Security is foundational to CPI’s enterprise-grade AI platform. Through its Zero Data Retention (ZDR) architecture, client data, prompts, and AI-generated outputs are not stored beyond the active session and are never used to train external AI models. This helps organizations safeguard sensitive intellectual property while meeting enterprise security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Ask Jerry and the AI Invoice Approval Module are available within CPI’s IP management platform, and Idea Foundry is offered as an enhanced capability within CPI’s Disclosure Management System.
